King Jagiello

King Jagiello sculpture, Central Park, NYC

"X" marks the spot of King Jagiello in Central Park. For whatever reason, I hadn't looked at this very large bronze monument before. I like when it blends with the trees in silhouette, of course, but, also, the closer shot of the king's defiant gesture. So, why not enjoy both?

Interesting history and a great way the United States was a blessing to Poland.

Great pictures. I remember stumbling around outside the Smithsonian museum and coming face to face with a life-sized statue of Albert Einstein sitting on a bench.
