Old Face

old totem, Saxman, Alaska

What if you came back now
To our new world, the city roaring
There on the old peaceful camping place
Of your red fires along the quiet water,
How you would wonder;
Planes in the sky over, swarms of cars
Like things frantic in flight.

This is lovely, and so is the citation below it. Is this from your Alaska trip?

Happy BYB Sunday.

How sad when art like this gets neglected so much that moss grows over it. BUT somehow it tells the story and makes me wonder more than if it were a perfect well-kept piece when I sometimes don't take a 2nd look. Thanks for sharing.

happy BYB Sunday and for visiting mine.
