A bald eagle rests in a pine tree above the Weeki Wachee River in Florida. You might notice the "Spanish Moss" hanging on the limbs of the tree as well, which isn't Spanish nor is it moss. It's an air plant related to the orchid.
I don't know where the sun in "The Sunshine State" has gone. Anyway, I still managed to enjoy this sculpture outside the entrance of Weeki Wachee Springs, the home of live mermaids. The figures are shown in the adagio pose, a signature move performed in each mermaid show.
Coming in from the Gulf of Mexico, a boat heads into the mouth of the Weeki Wachee River during sunset. No, this is not in New York City but going to Florida is "very NYC"...and when I go on vacation, so do you. Enjoy!
Instead of a plain fence marking off some new construction, why not add some color and interest? Looks as though they like it fun in some places. Cheers to you, Jersey City!
I know how most people do not like "pop ups", when looking at various websites and such, but how about this? Right before I snapped the shutter on this scene, this man came out of the trap door. Nice! Thanks, mister, that was great.
