CONTEST
A few days ago, up late and surfing around the "net", I decided to read a few "reviews" of my blog at BlogExplosion. In case you don't know, BlogExplosion is one of many sites, blog exchanges, that help blogs gain an audience. I have been a member since October 2005 and have 14 such reviews--all done by anonymous fellow members.
As with any anonymous comment, they usually love you or hate you. However, one stood out more than the others. It described my blog as "political" and summarized: "I don't like the Political bias of this blog." This made me laugh out loud, especially since they wrote it on July 4th.
The contest? You be the judge. Search my posts--July 4th post excluded--and expose my political bias. Take your time and comment at this post by 12 PM Wednesday (NYC time), July 12th.
The best "exposure" will win 500 BlogExplosion credits.
2nd best will get 250 BE credits and 3rd will get 100.
As an extra, should a non-BE member win first place, they can make a reasonable photo request and I will shoot it. Of course, we will discuss this, should it happen.

Eh....
I think the reader came across the picture and saw it through a filter that affected what they saw? Or, maybe they didn't realise the comment about NJ shutting down the park was a statement of fact about the then current fiscal crisis the state was going through and not simply a joke??
Who knows? I find BE and most of those traffic thingies get quantity of visitors not necessarily quality readers who really read all of your posts. Snap judgements are made...
My entry to the contest is...
Your March 10th post. You apparently used to ride the fence on issues, that was until March 10th. And I quote...
"and I looked to the left..."
You and the other left leaners all spent too much time fretting over the renewal of the USA Patriot Act earlier in the week. Why can't you understand that the government wants to spy on us so they can save us from our evil ways?
I thought the PSP was portable...
Clearly you are biased, Oti...biased towards good photography! How dare you! I love your site, and never think of it as biased....I think of it as photogenic and cool.
the other guys blog didn't load...I always vote for you anyway!!!
don't care whatever whats his name says you are the best-oti xoxoxox
oops... This pic http://otilius.blogspot.com/2006/05/commuting-shoes.html
I hate when I forget to leave links....
As always, a brilliant picture, you are so consistent. I really should get out and do some photos again, i just cannot concentrate in hot weather though i am much more active in winter, and besides, i love doing night shots, i think i'll try and do some this week, college is finnished for the summer, i will try and find some new places.
Here goes nothing...
In response to your contest regarding your political bias I specifically
remember your post of the American Flag through a window around Thanksgiving.
While this doesn't indicate you being a right wing or a left wing, it does
however say that you are patriotic. Having patriotism does not make you a
democrat nor a republican. It makes you a true American. You must have some sort
of love and respect for your country.
Your political roots have nothing to do with your photography... If that were
the case you should be doing photo shoots of donkeys or elephants!
Clearly this person that wrote this comment has no idea where you come from or
where you stand. I wouldn't be able to tell you what your "wing" is... Nor do I
want to know.
I will say that I am neutral!
XXOO,
Melissa
Okay, I searched high and low in you blog--and decided that you are actually Martian here to kidnap our women and take all the aluminum siding, light posts with you, along the street maintenance crews with since none can be found obviously in NYC...greg
Just found your blog for the first time today. Since I've never seen your work before, I perfectly qualified to judge it based only on my perception of your political bias.
After carefully studying your photos, I've noticed that the most common denominator is your tendency to use neutral colors - tones of beige, tan, gray, white and black feature in nearly every picture.
Therefore, I'd say that your political bias is neutral. You are just like Switzerland, expect without the cheese.
