The 4th

The 4th of July would be a good time to visit the Statue of Liberty, seen here for free around 8 PM July 3rd from Liberty State Park in New Jersey. The Green Lady's torch still "burns".

NOTE: Crazy things happen in a free country. Due to the New Jersey government SHUTTING ITSELF DOWN, many parks and other government-run facilities in New Jersey will close July 5th. So, you better hurry on down to the banks of the mighty Hudson River soon, if you want to enjoy this free view.

Wow, that's really beautiful. I can't wait to see it for real now.

What a bland photograph, did you put any effort into this at all? I visited your website after reading your comments on another photoblog and was shocked by some of the comments you had received! Are you related to these people by any chance?

I can't believe NJ is shutting down. That is just a bizarre concept to me... How can it be?!

The patriotic thing is that we are using Thomas Jefferson's lightbulbs instead of modern day florescent bulbs!!!
