Big And Little

two star fish of different sizes and species on the beach at minus tide, Kasaan, Alaska

Another unusually low tide in Kasaan, Alaska lets us see some critters we might not otherwise. Here, a tiny star fish rests on the beach near a much larger one.

What a great shot, Mother & Child...I knew starfish could get relatively large but I didn't know they could grow so many appendages???

Cheers

that's so cute! I didn't even see that tiny one... then again, I haven't had my coffee yet. Neat shot!

Are you sure that jagunda thing is a starfish? I thought they only had 5 rays? Of course I don't know much about fish - unless they are broiled and served with butter and lemon
