The little man walked in Times Square Tuesday night to find out that Barack Obama has become our President-Elect. Thousands of people cheered the large screen. The most unlikely of candidates has won the election and shown the best of the United States of America. Hope has beaten fear, ability beat cynicism, and we are all the better for it.

I grabbed the shot at our court house when we voted, then took a snap shot of Obama last night on t.v. and did a little editing!!
And I got my new camera yesterday.
I got a Canon Rebel XSI and quite a few great lenses to go with it.
Now I just need to learn how it all works!!
Happy day!!:-)))
I'm hopeful too, but I'm also wary. History isn't the US' friend but my hope is great. I also have that 'good fear' you know? When you're scared but you know it's ok because it only means something great is about to happen?
I couldn't agree more. I'm absolutely ecstatic over the outcome. Great shot Otilius.
A historic and celebratory time indeed.

Gives me hope for the environment and the future of the USA. Nice shot, oti.
