Calm Before

a woman and lower Manhattan reflect on the bank of the Hudson River

Calm before the storm...I took this one in the afternoon on Sunday, before the Super Bowl--Super Bowl 42, or "Super Bowl XLII" for you worshippers of all things Roman. Here we see lower Manhattan reflected on the Hudson River. A beautiful day, to be sure...

Today, in honor of their win in The Big Game, the NFL champion Giants will enjoy a parade up the Canyon of Heroes (Broadway), also in lower Manhattan. If you're lucky enough, I'll have something to show you later. Stay tuned...

I'm always surprised by the contrast between the 2 shores, one side, rocks and rusting metal, the other side, Glass Towers,
