West Side Crane

Plenty of construction going on here in the city, as you know. This crane works a few blocks north of Columbus Circle in Manhattan.

Back home in Alaska, my dad used to work construction during the winter, when he wasn't commercial fishing. Starting at 9 years old, I fished 10 summers with him. Back then, I didn't want to be on the boat because I wanted to play baseball. Too bad fishing and baseball happened at the same time. Now, I am glad for that fishing experience and all the remote places we visited.

Happy Father's Day, dad! I love you.
