First thing to catch my eye was the lamp-post's shadow, it's far to distracting in my opinion and should have either been the subject or completely left out.

Overall the image is too busy and my eyes find themselves with nothing to settle on.

And the subject you did choose isn't particularly interesting either.

I find this picture to convey many things, such as the irony of the shadow of a light. Also, what is known to feel dark, like graffiti and old wood is brightly lit. Well done.

Great light ... great composition. So many voices in one picture. The shadow compliments the black graffiti.
