On Memorial Day, we officially remember many serious things. Usually we acknowledge the sacrifices others have made for our country in war. We shouldn't forget them. And, of course, no one will or should forget the events of September 11, 2001.
Naturally, people have fun on Memorial Day, too. It ends a "long weekend", after all. So, remember the serious things but have yourself some fun today. Be a kid, even.

I love the hair.
I was just reading that this day was established to memorialize the Civil War dead from both sides of the fence who were buried side-by-side. That's interesting. Makes it a day of peace.
