I did not know Steven A. Giorgetti personally. He loved baseball and his family. Married for 18 years, he and his wife had two children--a boy and a girl. If work caused him to miss one of his young son's games, he would call his wife several times throughout to see how it was going.
He worked 20 years for the same company. Like many people, he lived on Long Island and worked in New York City. His office was in Midtown Manhattan.
Unfortunately for him, on September 11, 2001, Mr. Giorgetti had a meeting at the World Trade Center. That fateful morning, he died there, one of the many victims of the coordinated terrorist attacks. He was 43.

Nice tribute...I remember that morning so well...I can still remember turning on the TV not sure why(you have to know I do not watch TV during the day and rarely at all)

Here's to conducting a real investigation regarding the events of 9/11...For Steven, John, Jessica, Amy, and all the rest we may not have known well, but have an obligation to.
It is hard for many of us to recall the events of that day, but I can't imagine what the victims' families must feel. Thanks for the tribute. I hope to visit the memorial in NY someday.
I did a similar tribute for a lady named donna at the pentagon..a year after the crash..Im sad that I can't remember her last name.
