Brooklyn Bridge

close up shot of the Brooklyn Bridge, New York, NY

In a city filled with landmarks, the Brooklyn Bridge remains one of the most familiar sites in New York City to both residents and tourists. A bit over a mile in length, the bridge provides a free, scenic walk or drive across the East River. When you visit the city, do yourself a favor and go experience it for yourself.

Yup. Was in your town in March, and marched across the bridge. It was one of the highlights of the trip-- the bridge is so photogenic and the trek was amazing.

I was in NY for the World's fair in 1064 but I can't remember if we went over that bridge or not since that was a long time ago. We stayed with relatives in Manhattan. I would like to go there again but probably won't make it since I live on the west coast now.

Happy BB Sunday! Come and see mine.

Otilius,

While I rarely take the time to comment, I've been enjoying your blog via BlogExplosion and EntreCard for several months, and you almost always get my Battle of the Blogs vote.

My NYC office is near Madison Square Park and the biggest crane I've ever seen, so your crane photos particularly catch my eye. I love seeing a different NYC shot every day, especially when I've stayed in the home office.

Thanks for joining the 15,000th visitor celebration at Roxiticus Desperate Housewives...not to worry, we're sure to keep the champagne flowing for the rest of the week!

All those years spent across the river in NJ and I never stopped at the Brooklyn Bridge. Only went to Brooklyn once in 23 years. I was always stuck in other parts of the city.
