Moon Beams

Twin beams of light seem to converge on their way past the moon and beyond. The beams pay silent tribute to the destroyed Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. A few stars look on...

The haze in the air combined with some camera noise (the film equivalent = grain) from shooting as wide open as I could yielded the above result. The moon "blows out" a bit due
to its being so much brighter than the beams.

A more "normal" view of the beams in lower Manhattan...

This is a beatiful photo and capture of the tribute and the moon.

May it remind us of the tragic attacks, of those who were lost, those who were heroes, those who inflicted this all upon us...

But most of all, may it remind us that the attacks of 9/11/01 were in our past, lest we forget to have a future because of them.

These are absolutely beautiful.

They did a similar thing at the Pentagon on Monday night. It was several beams of light, at various angles, going toward the sky. Unfortunately it was very overcast here, so none of my pictures came out that clearly.
