Just another rainy Friday night on 22nd Street in Manhattan (taken about 6:30 PM). This isn't the biggest pile of garbage on a sidewalk I've seen, nor is it the smallest. I guess it's "just right". ;]
As I was looking at this my first thoughts were "oh my gosh, why do they trash up the streets in beautiful NY?" But then I thought about DT Dallas and I suppose they do the same thing down there late at night because where else are they going to put it. DUH!! It's been awhile since I've been in DT Dallas in the late evening. Oh well....
At least it is all in garbage bags. In Haiti they just dump all the garbage in a huge pile and I do mean huge. That bit of garbage would not even compare to a pile of garbage in Haiti.
Just right considering what??? LOL
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not over 90 degrees and smoldering...

ReplyDeletedutchbitch is right. When I lived in New Orleans people would do that in the middle of the day during the summer. Talk about rancid!

ReplyDeleteAt least they have the sense to pile it neatly in bags. Nothing like what I've seen around China and Thailand.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture! Lovely New York!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid there was a big garbage strike. The mountains were huge. I always think of that when I see an image like this.
