Here we see Manhattan reflected in the Hudson River at the mouth of the former Morris Canal in Jersey City, a forgotten but important part of New Jersey history.
One would assume that by the age of 30+ years, I would have seen "all" unique viewpoints to Manhattan skyline, but I've never seen this before. It would be interesting to see landscape version of same view (just for comparison), but even without it, I have to admit that you've done good job on finding this spot for taking photographs.
Not a contrast, an accentuation. The darker images of this shot (as in uglier) uplift and frame the beauty within. I love the red jacket giving scale to the shot!
