A Bird?


Upstate this weekend, I happened upon an interesting sight.
While looking at this patch of phlox, I wondered what was this thing?


It reminded me of the time I saw a baby hummingbird one summer back home in Alaska.
But this didn't seem quite right. Google to the rescue!
Turns out the thing is a HUMMINGBIRD MOTH. You learn something new every day.

    hummingbird...it's a hummingbird...oh how cool..how did you do that and not have it all blurry? i have birds feeding on my porch(over 50) and been trying to get hummingbirds to come too...now i know what flower to plant..ha..thanks great pictures..
