South 5th


Twice a year, for about three days, the light from the setting sun lines up perfectly with the streets of New York City which run east and west. I shot this scene on South 5th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, near 8 PM (Thursday).

Note: On the 12th, when the sunlight PERFECTLY CENTERED on the streets, clouds covered our sky.

    You know, I've never been to NYC, but your pictures really make me feel like I'm there! They are so personal in the way that you capture everyday life.
